SUSHI, HASHI and FISHY
A smaller render setup for the Dome, used for 2D content only — including the
Adventure Dome shows. Selected from the Projectors tab of the Dome Control panel as
Sushi (2D only); see Operator manual.
What the machines are
| Machine | Role |
|---|---|
| SUSHI | The 2D render machine that drives the dome projectors |
| HASHI | Auxiliary machine, fed from the Dome server rack |
| FISHY | Auxiliary machine driving a Full HD screen (not the dome surface) |
HASHI and FISHY are powered from the Dome server PDU — ports 1 and 8 respectively on
dome-server-pdu03 (172.19.6.23). See PDUs.
Signal chain
On the Barco status page:
- Encoder S27 feeds the Full HD screen for FISHY.
- SUSHI's encoders are the even-numbered units S28, S30, S32, S34 and S36.
Before starting an Adventure Dome show, confirm these encoders are green — a red encoder here is the usual cause of "Adventure Dome won't start properly".
TODO verify with senior technician
Confirm what HASHI is used for, the IP addresses / DNS names of all three machines, which software drives the SUSHI output (C-Play or other), and the sync/genlock setup — in particular which machine is the sync master.
